CANNIBAL CORPSE announces title of new studio album and reveals track listing!
Tampa, FL’s godfathers of death metal, Cannibal Corpse have dubbed EVISCERATION PLAGUE as the title to the group’s brand new studio album due out on February 3rd, 2009. EVISCERATION PLAGUE marks the follow up to the bands extremely successful 2006 release KILL (debuted at #170 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart), which has become the fastest selling Cannibal album in the band’s storied career as well as highest selling album since 1996’s Vile (debuted at #151 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart). To capture the speed, ferocity, and musicianship that CANNIBAL CORPSE has become known for the band decided to head back Mana Recording Studios with producer Erik Rutan (who also produced KILL) at the helm.

Bassist Alex Webster comments, “In Cannibal Corpse our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album KILL, but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further. Now that we can hear the finished product, I would say we've been able to achieve this goal, and I think our fans will agree. EVISCERATION PLAGUE has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power. We can't wait until you all get a chance to hear the album in early 2009, because we think you'll be as happy with it as we are.”

SIX FEET UNDER release new track off Death Rituals!
Tampa, FL death-groove act SIX FEET UNDER is set to release the track ‘Involuntary Movement of Dead Flesh’ off their upcoming release Death Rituals today via the band’s MySpace page. Death Rituals features 13 tracks of pure American death metal delivering a bludgeoning slab of metal that will leave fans hungering for more. Legendary death metal vocalist Chris Barnes, along with guitarist Steve Swanson, bass legend Terry Butler, and drummer Greg Gall, continue to follow the dark and demented path that merges tried and true death groove with stomach-turning lyrics and themes.

Death Rituals saw the band returning to Morrisound Studios in Tampa, FL with Chris Carroll at the helm with mixing duties being handled by Toby Wright and the return of Six Feet Under’s old friend Bill Metoyer, who recorded the bands CD Warpath, helping out with recording of the drums.

We have decided on a new action this month: Doctors Without Borders. Read all about the organization down below. Solidarity is the keyword once again. Stand together, stand strong. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. Today, MSF provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care or natural disasters.

MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

MSF's work is based on the humanitarian principles of medical ethics and impartiality. The organization is committed to bringing quality medical care to people caught in crisis regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. MSF operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs. The key to MSF's ability to act independently in response to a crisis is its independent funding. Eighty-nine percent of MSF's overall funding (and 100 percent of MSF-USA's funding) comes from private sources, not governments. In 2006, MSF had more than three million individual donors and private funders worldwide.

MSF is neutral. The organization does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care on the basis of need alone, and pushes for increased independent access to victims of conflict as required under international humanitarian law. MSF's principles of action are described in the organization's 1971 founding charter, which established a framework for its activities.

MSF medical teams often witness violence, atrocities, and neglect in the course of their work, largely in regions that receive scant international attention. At times, MSF may speak out publicly in an effort to bring a forgotten crisis to public attention, to alert the public to abuses occurring beyond the headlines, to criticize the inadequacies of the aid system, or to challenge the diversion of humanitarian aid for political interests.
